Columbia County Jail Reports 

The Columbia County Justice and Detention Facility on Rawhide Road in Magnolia recently provided updates on recent arrests and inmate releases. Everyone mentioned in these reports are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Recent Arrests

Austin L. Burns, 25, of Emerson

Booked on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2o25, by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. He faces many charges including: possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Lee Easter, 63, of Emerson

Easter was booked on Saturday, October 11, 2025, following an arrest by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. His charges include second-offense DWI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, violating an interlock device requirement, public intoxication, and a headlight law violation.

Recent Releases

Naomi Drummer, 23, of Magnolia

Released at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 11. She was previously booked on a charge of third-degree domestic battery.

Charles R. Hughey, 50, of Magnolia

Hughey was released at 2:34 p.m. Monday, October 13. He had been booked for fleeing from officers, obstructing governmental operations, and possession of methamphetamine.

Brian D. Moffett, 42, of El Dorado

He was released at 12:28 p.m. on Saturday, October 11. He had been held for another agency and was transferred out of the facility.

Valerie Smusz, 43, of Magnolia

Smusz was released at 2:40 a.m. Monday, October 13. She was booked for fleeing and possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
